Wah pedal - in loop or before guitar input?

I'm in the process of preparing to properly wire up my pedalboard. Just curious about opinions on use of a wah pedal. Is there any benefit to keeping the wah pedal in a loop on the PBC? As it will always be my first device and it will be the first device on the bottom right of the pedalboard I'm debating using the wah as my guitar input, and sending the out to the guitar input of the PBC.. It's a Morley Bad Horsie so it's only engaged until it's released. Is there any practical reason to use it in the first loop of the PBC instead? I mean, I'd just force that loop to be always engaged anyways. Any input is welcome... thanks!

Generally speaking, I recommend keeping the wah out of PBC loops and just put it in front of the PBC. That way you can use the wah's own switch. The only reason I can think of to put it in a PBC loop is if the wah sucks tone badly when it's turned off. But, as long as you have a true bypass wah, that shouldn't be an issue.
