Since the value of the "Alt Preset" is generally a numbered preset, users who utilize this feature are discouraged from rearranging their presets as they may wish, because inserting a preset before a targeted Alt Preset will displace that preset and change the target, requiring manual adjustments. The earlier a preset in the list, the more work a user would have to do in order to correct the "Alt Preset" values. Instead, users should be presented with a dialog box enabling them to choose to automatically re-assign "Alt Preset" values that will be affected by a preset re-ordering.

This really is a problem in my setup actually. I have three working bands and new presets are added all the time. I like to arrange everything so all the presets of the same project are together (also a search function would be handy) but then I have to edit all my alternate presets again. I even had a fail during a session because I overlooked an alt preset
