For me a 16 would have been theoretically large enough, but I would have had wasted space on my pedalboard, as none of my pedals would have fit in the gap between the top of it and the top of the board. So I figured "why not fill it up?!?" and opted for the 22.

You might want to check if you're in true bypass mode. This is probably why your swells reduce, as true bypass cuts off the tails when the pedal is disengaged. Buffered mode sounds fantastic on these pedals and retains your trails. There are preset +/- buttons that can be used with the...
