AXE FX III with GT22 Scenes and Effects blocks question

I have my Axe Fx III and my GT 22 communicating pretty well. i can change presets and scenes. The tuner is working and so is my volume pedal. But my question is this. When i change scenes within my preset, the effects blocks buttons on the GT dont change color to indicate which effects were activated/deactivated with the scene change. For example, Ill change to a scene that activates my chorus block. it does actually engage the chorus block on the axe fx but the chorus button on the GT doesnt change color to indicate its been engaged. But if i press the chorus block button manually, it will change color. Is there some setting on the GT or Axe Fx that i need to tweak? Thanks.
 
Make sure your effect buttons have Send on Preset Change and Update on Preset change turned off. This allows the Axe-Fx to control them. Also make sure that "Ignore Incoming CC" is turned off in Devices.
