Hiss in high gain from x3 live

Ive been trying to use my mini amp gizmo with a line 6 x3 live , but when I switch to any gain channel on my peavey JSX head the pod makes the amp hiss ,what can I do about this? :?:

This is probably noise generated by the X3 or the JSX (or both). It's extremely unlikely that the Mini Amp Gizmo would cause any noise itself - as far as the amp's concerned, the Mini Amp Gizmo is the same as the amp's footswitch.

It's quite a few years since I had my JSX, but I remember using the built-in noise gate is essential for the gain channels (it's not active on the clean channel). PODs aren't exactly the quietest bits of kit either.
