Noise Gate in Rack Gizmo

For this example using any noise gate rack/pedal with 2 inputs (One for guitar, One for loop)....

My question:

Would you place the Noise Supressor...between the BUFFER OUT and INPUT 1-4 (For the Guitar sensitivity)

And the other in the RETURN of the FX Loop ?

In this configuration I would not use up any LOOPS...Am I overthinking this?

It sounds correct to me - if you want to use the noise gate all the time, then that's the best solution.
