RG 16 power supply

Hi there, I'm new to this forum and to RJM in general. I have a question regarding power. Can anyone confirm the correct 9v power needed to power an RG 16 as well as providing phantom power to a Mastermind. Oh yeah I'm from Australia.

Cheers in advance

The RG-16 needs either 9V AC or 12V DC, at a minimum of 450mA. If you want to phantom power a Mastermind as well, then you'll need at least an extra 200mA for that. The Mastermind is much less fussy what you power it with - anything between 9V and about 15V, AC or DC, is fine. Generally, I'd recommend getting a 9V AC power amp rated at 1000mA (1 Amp) to be safe - these are readily available from electronics and music stores etc. The same kind of PSU you'd use to power a Digitech Whammy pedal or some Line6 units. Although if you're wanting to power a few pedals as well, the Burkey Flatliner Pro is IMO the power supply of choice - it has a 1A 9VAC outlet plus 8 other outlets of 9V or 12V DC for your pedals etc, rated at 200mA each. It's big, but it fits nicely on a 2U rack shelf and is more versatile than the Voodoo Lab or BBE etc offerings.
