Hello !
I am looking for a solution to organize my Rig, and I need some advise please...
1. First Goal :Bypassing the TC G-system:
The G-sys has a pre-amplifier loop (compressor, Eq, ..) and a post amplifier loop (reverb, delay, etc..).
It can be wired using the 4 cable method :
Guit-> Gsys input // Gsys amp send -> Amp-input // Amp-fx-send -> Gsys amp return // Gsys output -> amp FX return.
The problem is that the gsystem is not perfectly transparent and therefore I lose a bit of my amp sound texture..
The idea is to be able to bypass individually each Gsys loops in order to have the "direct to amp sound" when the gsystem is not used...
2. MIdi rig and effect Bypassing:
The idea is to place all my pedals in a rack, and use the midiswitcher to bypass the effects. In this configuration everything is controlled using my midi pedalboard and all my effects can be "true bypassed"...
3. Amp channel switching:
I will also use the midi switcher for amp channel / solo mode selection.
4. Future 2 amp configuration:
In September i will purchase a second amp head and i would like to be able to switch between the two ...
here is the idea of my final Rigg :
I do not know what is best for my application: effect gismo or RG-16?
I need:
- to store and recall "user patches" in which each loop configuration is defined (midi program change event).
- to be able to individually switch on / off each loop (midi CC event).
- I need to switch on / off two loops simulataneously with a single CC event (for the amp selection part).
- 3 TRS loops for stereo switching
- To control the amps channel selection.
Can I do all that with the gizmo or RG16 unit?
When a loop is bypassed, is the send signal floating or connected to ground?
I am surching for a purely transparent system... Is it really the case?
Sorry for all the questions and thank you for your help !
Cheers,
Alex
