I wanted to get some feedback/suggestions on this rig. I "threw" it together almost two years ago and have had zero issues! I am getting ready for phase 2.
Main Components:
Mastermind LT
Mini Effects Gizmo
Friedman 25" Board with Patch Bay & Power Supply
Midi Solutions Midi Thru ( I have two midi pedals plus wanted external midi)
If you look at the bottom view(IMG_2678.jpg), you can see the MasterMind LT in the center. It is crammed between the Friedman patch bay and the Friedman power supply. If I need to change cables, I need to temporarily pop out the Mastermind LT or remove the patch bay( on the left of IMG-2678.jpg) Fortunately, I used Dual Lock instead of velcro!
My questions are
1) Should I switch to soldered cable and is there a more compact plug that is recommended?
2) Could I move the Effects Gizmo to the top of the board and place pedals on top of it?
In retrospect, I wish I had not bought a two level board because it limits where I can place the Effects Gizmo.
Appreciate any inputs or suggestions you may have on cables or layout.
