You only need three connections.
Pin 2 -> Pin 2
Pin 1 -> Pin 4
Pin 3 -> Pin 5
The end with 2, 1 and 3 plugs into the PBC. The other end plugs into your external device.
Even though MIDI uses 5 pin DIN, usually only pins 2 (ground), 4 and 5 are used.
To use the MIDI IN as an OUT you need a cable that connects pin 1 at the PBC end to pin 4 at the other end, and pin 3 at the PBC end to pin 5 at the other end.
A TRS version of the 380 doesn't exist. We use 236 jacks for the bottom row of the PBC without an issue.
We even sell soldered TRS to Dual TS cables for people to plug stereo effects into their PBC.
Different end options and lengths are available.
@Flow if every preset within each song shares the same PC message for the Quartz, then when you change song, no matter which part of the song you start with, the Quartz will change to the correct BPM - assuming you have the correct BPM programmed into the Quartz for that song.
Another option would be to get a little box made that has an isolated split with a switchable mute. The mute could be controlled remotely via one of the PBC's switching jacks.

The main thing to be aware of is to keep the A and B outputs of the PBC on separate ground paths so you don't defeat it's internal transformer. We offer a modified version of the Interfacer for PBC users for this very reason.
We usually "float" the B output with shielded cable.
