I've been planning my board thinking of using a dunlop x to control both volume and expression and dictating which is active internally in the pbc. However, I realized this can be only be controlled by a switch inside the pedal. Does anyone know of a pedal that can do both simultaneously? I am fairly certain the mission Sp1-RJM won't.

It has separate jacks for controlling expression and (stereo) volume, so it might do the trick for you.

Very cool! But for the PBC one wouldn't need stereo would they? Doesn't it output stereo?

As far as I understand it, the Korg pedal has separate right and left inputs and outputs for volume, so if you are running mono, you’d just use the left in and out.
Not sure about the Boss pedal. You might want to check how well it plays with the PBC—I know there are potential issues with how Boss & Roland expression pedals are wired that mean they don’t work happily with the PBC.

My understanding is that the Boss pedals require a non standard TRS cable to work correctly with the PBC. But if you have the right cable for them, they should work fine. The Korg pedal, again as I understand it—I don’t own it myself—should work with a standard TRS cable.
I wonder if anyone has tried it with the pbc. The only reviewer on there that mentioned the expression control said it wasn't accurate.

If it looks a little awkward with the switch on the pedal, check out the external option.
Maybe he could add a trs jack on either so you could control it from the PBC Function Switches. This way you could program between volume and expression and maybe both.
