Preface: I know this can't happen without a hardware change, but as an RJM fanboy I hope my ideas will add value to your company. You definitely have done the same for my playing and enjoyment of music!
Now for the idea! I have seen a few boost pedals that include an expression pedal input for volume adjustment. Moog has a boost pedal in their minifooger line that does this. While the boost is in bypass you can still use the expression pedal to control your guitar volume. The pedal basically becomes a high quality buffered volume pedal. This is the best way to add a volume pedal to your rig. All of the hi-z volume pedals suck tone. I think it would be super cool if the next generation of Mastermind switchers had a built-in volume/boost function like this. I'm always trying to think up ways to save on weight. I'm sure a lot of players would dig this feature instead of adding a boost pedal just for volume.
