I have this too (GT22). Def. triggered by communications between Axe-Fx and GT. It stops when disabling realtime sysex (Fractal) and polling (GT).
I have tried a number of cables (MIDI as well as 6-pin XLR) and various power supplies, but strangely enough, nothing solved this so far.
I've...
I'm experiencing a weird (but minor) issue with my GT connected to an Axe-Fx III.
- Load the attached file.
- Make sure the Axe-Fx III is on a preset with a Delay 1 block.
- On page 1 on the GT, there's a Delay button. Hold that button to display the 4 channels.
- Notice that none of the 4...
Discussed before.
When I have assigned this action to a button, at some point the GT gets confused and messes up the MIDI banks when switching presets.
It’s definitively related to the use of this specific action.
Years ago I made some videos demonstrating my Axe-Fx III + GT/22 setup.
Here's an updated one I made today by request from some guys.
First a lot of talk, sounds at 10:30 or so.
Maybe you get something out of it.
I'm not a pro at this (you'll see). For some reason the digital audio from the...
Is it possible to increase the max amount of commands allowed per button? It’s now limited to 20. Seems more than enough but I’ve run into a situation where I need just a few more…
On the Axe-Fx, assign FAT to an External Controller. Do that in every preset where it's desired.
On the GT:
- assign that External Controller to a CC
- assign a button to that External Controller.
The GT lets me enable both "Show Scene Names' and "Show Preset Numbers'.
But it cannot do both: only scene names OR preset number can be displayed.
Seems like a minor bug.
The OFF value for 'channel select' should be 'none' instead of zero.
Also no need to enable Update on Preset Change and Send on Preset Change.
Those are useful only for buttons assigned to external controllers.
Yeah, it happens occasionally that the GT gets 'confused'.
Mostly after writing changes in the editor to the hardware, it seems.
I made a habit to reboot the GT each time, but I sometimes forget.
Config. enclosed.
GT22 connected to an Axe-Fx III.
I have programmed four buttons to simultaneously switch the AMP 1 and AMP 2 blocks to the same channel.
To do this, I have assigned two CC commands to each button.
So:
button 1 = switch both blocks to channel A
button 2 = switch both blocks to channel B
button...
I have a GT/22 connected to an Axe-Fx III.
Enabling Poll State and/or Send Realtime Sysex, results in audible ticking noise. Disabling both params make the noise disappear.
I have tried different power supplies, exchanged 6-pin XLR for regular 5-pin MIDI (separate cables or bidirectional)...
Further investigations: the noise synced to the Tempo LED disappears when I disable real-time sysex on the Axe-Fx.
But the noise synced to the MIDI LED stays, and only disappears when disabling Poll State on the GT.
I suspect that the instrument input (small pcb board inside the Axe-Fx) isn't...
That's correct.
No looper in the presets.
But I did a little more investigation and it is not the GT hardware. Because just holding the tip of the GT's power plug (not connected to the GT) already makes the tick audible.
It some kind of bleed-through from the Axe-Fx. Maybe something in the...
