    Effect Gizmo - Function switches

I figured it out. Had to turn on audio loop 7 in setup mode as it didn’t default there like it should have (per manual). We’re rocking!

    Effect Gizmo - Function switches

I wouldn’t even know where to begin on that. Any ideas where that breakdown could be? Is there something on the Global page that needs to be checked/switched? I’ll be home to check on the operation but I’m 99% it doesn’t turn on when programming via right click > assign CC -> cc#X, or the...

    Effect Gizmo - Function switches

So I’m not home to check but let’s run through two scenarios so I can troubleshoot when I get home. Scenario 1 - no they do not turn on Scenario 2 - they do turn on What’s next steps for either.

    Effect Gizmo - Function switches

Ok. So in doing this, it appears the signal is being sent and it is functioning as intended. Now how do I incorporate the Mastermind to control?

    Effect Gizmo - Function switches

So this is what I have programmed. It’s in Loop 9/NO and it doesn’t appear to be working. These operate as a latching function switch, unless Momentary is check, correct? Do you see anything incorrectly programmed?

    Effect Gizmo - Function switches

Any cable requirements here? Standard TS cable work? Not working as described. Have it in “output NO”. Maybe it should be in the “send loop” so it’s sending signal?

    Effect Gizmo - Function switches

Beautiful! If I use output 9 as a function switch that controls the “hold” function on a DM2000 what does the programming look like in the editor when I’m editing a specific button.

    Effect Gizmo - Function switches

Can the Effect Gizmo be used for function switches. I don’t see dedicated spaces like on the back of the PBC Mastermind I have loops 1-6 being used but want to be able to use it for function switching like the “hold” feature on an Ibanez DM2000.

    Gizmo Help

Ok. So i tried a lot this weekend. Did NOT try your recs here, but the first thing i tried was to pull my Mini Effects gizmo out and see if I could just end up getting audio to pass through it. After trying a bunch of different combinations, I now have audio pass through, but get this... I have...

    Gizmo Help

Yes, guitar > CAE. Bypassing RJM completely. Not overly relevant just making sure you had all information available. I will try your recommendations and report back asap. Thanks for the help here.

    Gizmo Help

Ok. So here’s what I’ve figured out. If I go output 5-8 of EG into CAE 4x4 then use output of CAE to amp, as opposed to back into “In 9” I have sound. It is extremely degraded though. Barely noticeable through amp. I have tried putting a buffer pedal between output 5-8 and CAE in, and it...

    Gizmo Help

Well, I know it’s fine in 1-8 because I use them. But ok. I’ll give it a shot.

    Gizmo Help

I don’t have to have the send/recieve’s filled do I?

    Gizmo Help

I’ll do what I can. I’ve ruled out cables and the rest of the rig. What would you recommend as next step?

    Gizmo Help

I did this and it doesn’t matter where I plug the output in 9-12 it doesn’t send signal. Does fine from output 5-8. I’m left to believe CAE and RJM can’t intermingle?! Guess I’ll have to go back to the full CAE system. Bummer.

    Gizmo Help

So I have eliminated the cables being a concern as I’ve tested them all individually and tried several kinds both handmade, factory made, soldered and solder less. To confirm; I am running out 5-8 on Effect Gizmo into CAE 4x4 input. Then CAE output to Effect Gizmo in 9. Using jumpers from...

    Mastermind Help!

Welp, solved that one on my own. I didn’t have the “allow all buttons off” for group 2 clicked. Problem solved. This things ridiculous.

    Mastermind Help!

It’s like switch 7 is operating as a master control for buttons 7-10. Nothing is different in the settings aside from switches 1-6 are set to group one (I have two HX Ones) and 7-10 are set to Group 2.
