BIGSKY MX with PBC6x MIDI issues. Need help please!

If this hasn’t been solved, I’d make sure the BigSky MX has the latest firmware. The first couple rigs I setup with a PBC (and Morningstar on another) and the MX when it was new drove me absolutely crazy. Certain MIDI commands would crash the MX and it would stop responding or making any...

    Setting up a 1 button looper w/ Ext FtSw > PBC6X

Hey all! I am working on a rig that has the PBC6X and a Chase Bliss Blooper. He wants to use an external single footswitch to control the Blooper as a 1 button looper. We’re having some trouble nailing this. He wants first press to record, 2nd press to play, and then 3rd press overdub and he...

Make presets ignore a buttons page?

Hello! I’m sure there’s a way to do this and I’m not sure what I’m looking for to do it. Basically I have a buttons page for my Cloudburst. I have a couple church presets with a button to take me to this page so I can access the different features of the cloudburst and a couple specific...

Mastermind PBC Firmware / Editor 5.3.3 Release

I could be wrong but I believe this has to do with the new “ignore incoming CC” and PCs features added… if you check those boxes in your devices the problem should go away.

    PBC6X insert loop buffer off/on?

I believe the buffer is always on in the insert loop itself and there’s no option to turn it off. Turn on insert loop and the pedal in that loop gets a buffered signal (presumably for long runs to say, an amp effects loop or maybe a volume pedal that tends to suck tone). You can’t turn the...

PBC6X + HX Stomp multiple delay settings with a single block

You know, I haven’t actually tried to do it with MIDI now that I think about it. I’ve tried it with snapshots but it wouldn’t change the note value vs MS, it would just change the ms or the note value itself. So I’ll try it with midi tonight! Thanks for the reminder!

PBC6X + HX Stomp multiple delay settings with a single block

hey all! I was wondering if anyone might have any tips on how I can possibly achieve something with the HX Stomp and PBC6X. right now I use one delay block (transistor tape) set to 1/4 note for ambient stuff and an analog delay block set to 330ms for lead stuff. I use the PBC clock with a...

Mastermind PBC Firmware / Editor 5.3.3 Release

Yeah I’m under the impression the bypass state of a patch is saved into a patch on the MX. So I wonder if first turning on “Direct Send PCs/CCs” might help. I’m not sure what the priority order of messages is but I’m assuming it would send the PC first followed by the CC assigned to your...

Mastermind PBC Firmware / Editor 5.3.3 Release

I just ran into what I think is the same thing. It seems that the BigSky MX bypass status is saved on the BigSky MX's presets. I would setup a bypass/active button for the BigSky MX on a dedicated PBC page. Set to OFF and saved the PBC Preset. it kept recalling the BigSky's preset correctly...

    PBC6X taps/footswitches coming through amp

Following up after yesterday's post. I dropped in another PBC6X I have here, loaded my settings, and it works perfectly! tapping on the casing makes no noise, tap tempo makes no noise no matter how much gain I use. I assume mine has to go in for repair? How do we go about that? thanks for...

    PBC6X taps/footswitches coming through amp

I finally got around to doing more testing and if I tap on the PBC6X enclosure on the right side, near the input jack and where my tap tempo button is (footswitch 4, bottom right most switch) it comes out of the amp. As I move to the left, it isn’t as loud. It is Most apparent tapping on the...

    PBC6X taps/footswitches coming through amp

I haven’t noticed if it’s EVERY footswitch but it’s definitely not just the switch I’ve assigned to tap tempo. I basically have a preset and when I select it, it opens up a local page of IAs. From there I can then turn on any loops, send midi CCs to HX stomp, tap tempo, etc There’s a slight...

    PBC6X taps/footswitches coming through amp

Sorry I wasn’t clear! Or maybe I’m misunderstanding, also very easily possible haha It’s not from an external footswitch, I meant the footswitches on the PBC6X. When I step on them/use the tap tempo assigned switch, say, while have a high gain or fuzz sound, I can hear the clicks in the amp...

    PBC6X taps/footswitches coming through amp

Hey all! I bought an older used PBC6X a few months back. It works great except that I can often hear the footswitch taps coming out of my amp, especially with high gain or fuzz. Any ideas why this might be happening? Thank you!

    External Switch on "local page"

Got it! No prob. I’ll try it! If not, I can work with it being global for now, I was planning on making it do different things for different presets’ local pages but I can wait for a fix, no biggie. Thank you!!

    External Switch on "local page"

hey all! trying to setup an external switch on my presets local page to change snapshots on my HX stomp. The first switch works fine. CC Momentary #69, value 0 for snapshot 1. I have the two footswitches in group 2 so only one can be on at a time. I use CC momentary so that the light stays...

IA Store isn't saving HX Stomp CC's

That can certainly be part of it! He lives in Mexico so we were working on it over FaceTime. I’m fairly certain there was a lot of this happening. Testing on my own setup, I had to make sure “Direct Send CCs/PCs” is on, as well as “Send on Preset Change” and “Update on Preset Change”. With...

    Line6 DL4 MII odd behavior

Not sure if you got this sorted, but I built a pedalboard for a client last year that used a DL4 MK2. The MIDI controller in this case is the Morningstar MC8 and his DL4 MK2 behaves exactly the same, it'll just randomly change to a really fast delay, machine gun like. MIDI plugged in = DL4 MK2...
