How could I hook up a rack gizmo driving 8 effects in front of an amp and the effect gizmo handling 12 effects in the same amp's loop? Also, how would both units be wired so that a guitar is only plugged into the rack gizmo and able to use all 20 loops from both units? Do they need to be on...

I'm afraid not. While I do recognize the amount of features that the RJ-16 has, it is still quite unattainable for most folks. Most musicians these days don't have that kind of money to throw on a switcher, especially with the way the economy is these days. From a marketing standpoint...

I'm a bit disappointed at the price of the RJ-16. I would like to see it become a bit more reasonable so that it could be attainable for the masses. $649.00 is a bit steep IMO and lowering it to say $300.00 or $350.00 would be more reasonable. Just a suggestion. Jimmy ;)
