Axe FX3 and GT 22 modifiers assign

Hey gang trying to figure out how to assign a modifier from the axe fx 3 to the GT 22 where to find it. I’m trying to activate the boost section in the amp block with a modifier to a Instant access button. I have my 22 set up as a traditional pedal board per each patch, I hope that makes sense! I know my shimmer is attached to external pedal I’m just trying to figure out how to make an instant access switch,I know it’s something simple I have stared at it so many times, I know I have to start with the axe fx type of modifier assign type? I am unable to find a matching source between the 22 and axe fx

On Axe-Fx: assign an "external controller" to the parameter. In the Setup > MIDI/Remote menu, go to the External tab page and assign a MIDI CC to that external controller.

On the GT: assign a button to that external controller.
