Control PBC/6X with USB from PBC/10?

It might just be simpler for me to make up a DIN MIDI IN cable for my PBC/6X, but...

Is it possible to send USB MIDI commands from a PBC/10 to a PBC/6X or are they not compatible "devices" in a USB sense?

If so, am I going to need a USB-B to USB-B cable, if that's even a thing? And would I just need to check "MIDI Forward" in my PBC/10 config, to send MIDI messages from it's DIN MIDI IN to the PBC/6X?

I'm sorry, the USB A port on the PBC/10 only accepts flash drives at this time. Allowing it to control MIDI devices is not impossible, but probably quite a big project.
