Effects Gizmo - Tap Tempo

Hello,

I have a RJM PCB10 and I'm routing the midi channel out to an effects loop on top of my amp in which I use the 12U effects gizmo.

In that effects loop is two Way Huge Supa Puss that accept External Tap Tempo and i would like to have these programmed on the PBC to my designated tap tempo button. How do i go about doing that? Do i plug the "External Tap" jack on the back of the supa puss into "output 9" then program those outputs to the designated tap tempo button or is this done on the globals page?

Any help on the programming sequence and setup would be appreciated.

This is correct - just use Output 9 and have your tap tempo programmed to control loop 9. You'll have to experiment with the momentary setting on the button, the pedal should work with one setting, and will end up with an incorrect tempo with the other setting.

Ok. So would it be as simple as?
IA
Action Type: Audio
Subtype: Loop
number 9

or is that programmed CC values under Action Type: CC Momentary?

That's correct. Don't use a CC Momentary action. If you find that the tempo is coming out at half speed, turn on the Momentary checkbox under IA Options.

I think i have to do momentary?! Because when going Action Type "Audio" That is only going to be designated to the PBC and these will be plugged into the Effects Gizmo, which operates my effects loop of the amp.

I'm sorry, I was in too much of a hurry and didn't read that last message correctly. If you're using output 9 on the Effect Gizmo you would use an action like this:

Effect Gizmo / CC Toggle Loop 9 off:0 on:127

OK. Thanks i have the supa puss's working.

I can't seem to get my HX One, which is connected to the PBC Mastermind not my effects loop rack, to communicate tap tempo. It's connected via MIDI using the same tap tempo button. It is communicating, but for some reason the tap tempo isn't working? Any thoughts or recommendations? I have it programmed as:

HX One/CC Momentary #93 - which is Line 6 tap tempo CC command.
(Again this is on the same button as the Supa Puss's we just worked on. )

Does it have to be set as a Global to communicate via MIDI?

Try using a CC Toggle action and see if that helps.

The Global setting just makes the button appear on every button page, it doesn't affect MIDI behavior.
