ETA on profile for Fractal VP4?

(searched but did not find anything specific!)

any updates on an estimated time of arrival for an official profile for the Fractal VP4? love the idea of seamlessly using the LT with the VP4. thx!
 
To the best of my knowledge, Fractal has not added the full 3rd party MIDI capability to the VP-4 like the other products have.
 
The VP4 doesn't rely on specific 3rd party MIDI support, unlike the Axe-Fx, FM3 and FM9.
And there's no need to.
It's plain old regular MIDI.

Until RJM adds the VP4 as a device (if necessary), just choose 'Generic Device' and enter the required parameter values for the VP4, found in the Owners Manual.

Do you happen to know if they've decided to not have 3rd party support? When I talked to them (quite a while ago), it seemed like they were going to implement it at some point.

I guess I can implement this as a regular device if they're not planning to add full functionality, or if there's no sign of a release date any time soon.

I have no knowledge of that.
 
Good news, I just heard from Matt at Fractal and they have implemented third party support for the VP4, they just never announced it. I have the info now and will implement it in the next release. It probably won't be until October, since I just did a release, but I'll do what I can to get it done.

I don't want to be that guy, but I'm still so excited that I can't help be that guy: is there still a chance this will happen this month?
 
I've started on it and have a VP4 here. When I'll finish it, I can't say for certain. Depends on how many other things end up requiring my attention in the next couple weeks.
 
I should also mention that it's quite a bit different than the other Fractal products, so it's not super easy to do like some of the others have been.
