gain loss with Rack Gizmo

I'm running into a bizarre problem with two pedals, Mad Professor Simble drive and an MXR Dyna-comp. When I engage the loops they're in, the level drops. If I switch the pedal into bypass, the levels are fine.

I checked all the cables, power cords, power supplies, all check fine. I tried putting the pedals after the Rack Gizmo and the work fine. I tried patching out the buffer and click saver... no change. (The KTR, chorus and Leslie pedal all work fkne.)

I'm running out of things to check. Any ideas?

Well, it was an impedance issue, but much further down the signal chain (at a jack on the rear panel of the rack cabinet.) I realized that when I activated a loop after either of these that the level came up...I'm guessing because they buffered the Simble from the impedance issue. I swapped in a Keeley compressor for the Dyna-comp, and it worked fine. The lesson learned is that some pedals are a lot fussier about impedance. I guess it makes them a good test for the signal chain.
