Hughes and Kettner Grandmeister Deluxe 40

The Hughes and Kettner Grandmeister Deluxe 40 amp (http://hughes-and-kettner.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/GM_Deluxe_40_BDA_1_1.pdf) has built-in digital effects and a MIDI capability. However it apparently does not accept tap tempo e.g. via a control change message but rather expects to receive a delay time parameter via MIDI controller number 4. Per the manual, it will deliver "delay time, 128 steps, 51 ms to 1360 ms" depending on the value of controller number 4. I therefore wondered whether the Mastermind PBC could send this information based on tempo information from the PBC generated by tap tempo?

Currently, there's no way to calculate a CC value based on tempo.

That's so dumb. Why did they not include proper midi control on that amp? Less interested in buying it now.
