Ideas for a new stereo rig

Going away from modelers for the moment. I’m thinking of getting a Mastermind PBC 10. My idea here is that both amps could be differently set (essentially becoming a 4-channel stereo amp and loops 5 & 6 would be mutually exclusive (decides which preamp out is used. Everything goes back in stereo to the returns of the amps. All the stereo loops would be in parallel. I guess what I’m asking is would this idea work?

Looks good!

Maybe check the NS-1X connections, just to be sure they're correct.

Some high gain amps can oscillate internally when connecting it's input and send to a loop switcher. Also, connecting multiple amps/preamps can result in ground loop hum/noise. To solve both of these issues I would recommend removing the IN5-6 connection, and connecting it to aN ISO box from https://axesselectronics.com/ and then connecting the ISO box outputs to the inputs of both amps. Leave the amp SEND connections (to the PBC return jacks) as is. When either Loop 5 OR 6 are on, that will select one of the amps, and when both loops are off, that will/should mute both amps, which is always a nice to have.

You'd probably benefit from the IsoFormer™ DUO in front of the two amp inputs, working as a splitter and dual isolator. You might also need an IsoFormer™ UNO or two for additional ground loop hum isolation if necessary.

Mario,

Thanks so much for the input! That helps a lot. It also clears up another little mystery in that I didn’t know what an ISO box was, but now I do.

It was also great to see all the videos on combining a PBC with other products, like the Mini Effect Gizmo. My rig ideas put me relatively close to full up on the PBC. It was nice to see it’s pretty easy to expand the number of loops if it becomes necessary.
