Here's firmware and editor 4.7.0, which fixes some nasty bugs and adds new device support.

FEATURES:
  • New device support:
    • Fractal FM9
    • Free The Tone pedals (5 of them)
    • Suhr microMIDI and Discovery
    • Strymon Zelzah
    • Sound Sculpture ABCadabra, Abyss, Volcano
    • Wampler Terraform
  • Fixed a bug in the Windows editor that messed up Scene names
  • Fixed a nasty, nasty memory bug that caused problems in the onboard menu Save Settings and Format Drive option, among other things
  • Fixed a bug in Axe-Fx III Poll State where it sometimes failed to scan for effect block states
  • Added range numbers to the Page/Preset/Song/Setlist menus. The main screen will tell you things like "Presets 1-20" to tell you which page of items you're currently looking at.
TO UPDATE FIRMWARE:

PLEASE DON'T DO A MAJOR FIRMWARE UPDATE RIGHT BEFORE YOUR BIG GIG!

- First, back up your settings to a flash drive or computer! If you go back to 4.5 or earlier, your GT will factory reset.
- Download and unzip the firmware file.
- Copy the file to a USB flash drive, and remove any other .rjf files from the flash drive.
- Eject the drive from your computer.
- Power on the Mastermind GT while holding the two buttons under the main screen.
- Keep holding until you see "Mastermind GT Bootloader" appear on the screen.
- Now plug the flash drive into your GT. The update should begin and will take a few minutes to complete.

Hi Ron,

Great to see some of the issues this firmware resolves! I'm having a little issue with downloading, described below.

I'm using a MacMini M1 FW11.5.2 and for some reason, neither of the files are downloading, when I click on either the Firmware or the Mac Editor link(s). I did get normal behavior when I clicked on the GT Manual link, so I don't believe it is operator error. ;) I did try a Ctl-Click on the Firmware link, and in the process I received an error message that it was not able to download securely. I chose to allow it to proceed, and the file did download. Shows its size as 793k. I did the same on the Mac Editor and its size shows as 11.4 MB .

Any ideas or suggestions?

Cheers,
Lee

edit: I was having the above issue while using the Chrome browser. I decided to try Safari and had no issue at all downloading both the FW and the Editor. FYI

Isn’t the MM GT getting near its 10 year anniversary? Amazing how this device is still at the top and current. Kudos.

Quick check? Tuner function does not seem work on the FM9. It is working fine on FM3 and Axe-Fx III. I am not sure if it is a FM9 issue or MMGT issue. Also it doesn't look like the update or get presets name works. Maybe sysex id issue?

I checked and I'm using the ID Fractal says is correct for the FM9. Unfortunately, I don't have an FM9 here to test with it. Do you happen to have a PC or Mac with a MIDI interface that we could use to view MIDI messages?

It would interesting to monitor and record the output from the MIDI Out of the GT, then also monitor and record the output from the MIDI Out on the FM9 (while the GT is connected to the FM9's MIDI In and running).
