I really like it to switch the songs of my PBC with my out-board gear. But there is a change, that would satisfy me even more.
When working with "Setlist active" and "Midi Bank Select Songs" mode, the Program Changes are used to switch the presets of the song. What would be a great opportunity is the ability just to send the (MSB)LSB part with the bank select and the PBC would switch to the new song, without pressing any preset. Basically, like you would switch manually between songs, before selecting a preset.
This would achieve two things:
- One could see the selected song name and not just "Song" as a text
- It would cycle through all presets of the song as a preview of the available presets.
For now, this doesn't work. The PBC is only switching the song if it also receives a PC command.
