I'm thinking of going 6U and adding a shelf for some beloved pedals to my Axe-Fx III rack. I'd switch them in and out with an RJM MEG, of course.
The audio connections look straight-forward enough, but what's the best way to route the MIDI from the RJM junction box to the two units. Or does it not matter that much? Something like:
Or would this be better:
Is it possible to sync the state of the MEG loops to IA switches on the GT/22 the way blocks in the AFIII presets stay in sync with IAs on the GT/22?

- RJM Junction Box OUT > MEG MIDI IN
- MEG MIDI OUT > AFIII MIDI IN
- AFIII MIDI OUT > RJM Juntion Box IN
Or would this be better:
- RJM Junction Box OUT > AFIII MIDI IN
- AFIII MIDI OUT > RJM Juntion Box IN
- AFIII MIDI THRU > MEG MIDI IN
