Mini Effect Gizmo Loop Weirdness

****SOLVED*** See reply.

I'm using the MEG as such:

input (buffered):
loop1: SDD-3kP pre-amp pedal
loop2: Morning Glory
loop3: Strymon Sunset
loop4: Walrus Fathom

MEG is powered by a Strymon Zuma (9vdc, 500ma available)

Here's what loop stacks that work:
1 (only)
2 (only)
3 (only)
4 (only)
1+2
1+3
1+4
2+3
1+2+3
3+4

2+4 does not work. No signal passing.

How is it that all loops work normally, and most combinations, but 2+4 does not pass signal.

Very odd.

Thoughts? Help?

Finally figured it out. So, out of the THOUSANDS of Switchcraft jacks I've used in my life, I finally got a bad one. cable tested okay, but when plugged-in, not okay. Even on my able tester (which is really just looking for continuity). When I pulled-out the multimeter and tested on the ends, it was fine. Impedance was nominal, and obviously good continuity. So I pulled out some used jacks, and tested with the cable plugged-in...BAM! Tip of the plug was ever so slightly loose, and was causing a short internally. VERY odd. I've never had this happen in 10+ years of using Switchcraft gear (and I pretty much only use Switchcraft). Very weird. Put a new end on this cable, and viola! We're in-business...

Still doesn't (to me) explain why #4 loop worked on its own...but perhaps it was a enough resistance between them that it caused a problem.

Either way. Fixed.

Cheers!
