Missed messages?

I recently purchased a second-hand MasterMind LT. It looks brand new, but from what I suspect, it is probably an early model (serial number 0022). I am fairly strong with MIDI, and have been using Morningstar products with good success for a while now, but wanted to try an RJM product to see how I like it. Overall I really like the way configuration is thought out, it makes a lot of sense, and makes it quite easy to make changes to presets without a computer once you have the basic pages setup.

After programming my presets, and making some songs and a setlist, I started to test out setlist/song mode to step through the parts of my songs. What I am seeing is on occasion, one of my presets will miss a message. Maybe toggling on/off an effect won't fire, or maybe it will toggle the effect on but not send the the channel (on my Fractal AM4 or VP4). Sometimes it is my delay, sometimes it is my reverb, and it can happen randomly on different presets.

Any thoughts on what might be going on here?
 
Yes! The first thing I did after receiving it, before doing any other setup, was install the latest firmware (5.4.0).
 
Great! Do you happen to have a MIDI monitor application that you can use to see if the LT is dropping messages or if the receiver is not processing them even though they are being received?
