PBC/6X Using Insert Cable on Output

Random insert cable question - If I run a mono signal out of my 6x while a stereo Y insert cable is plugged in, will that send my mono signal to both the tip and ring sides of that cable like it would a normal patch cable?

I have a really compact board set up in stereo but I'd like to run it in mono at times. Physically unplugging the insert cable on the PBC's output and using a standard patch cable is a pain. I'm running a Timeline/Bigsky in stereo after the PBC - those I can unplug cables fairly easily if I want to run in mono, just not the output of the PBC.

If you turn on Mixdown to Mono and leave Stereo Output turned on, then the two outputs will have the same mono signal.
