PBC10 White Noise/No Signal

I'm having trouble with a PBC10 giving me nothing but white noise.

As I understand it, in it's basic form I should be able to go into In 1-4 and out of Output A/Left with nothing patched into any loops and still get signal out (assuming the loops are turned off, which they are). When I do that, I'm getting nothing but noise.

Both Mono outputs are in, ISO B is off.

I've done a factory reset of the system several times. Any thoughts on this?

I recommend trying a few things:

- Turn off all buffers, and if it fixes the problem, turn them on one at a time to see if a specific buffer is a problem.
- Connect the amp to Out 5-6 and see if you get signal
- Connect guitar to In 7-10 and Out A to amp, same thing

That helped! It seems that buffer 1 is causing the issue. Buffers 2 and 3 seem to be functioning normally. Is there a way to fix buffer 1?

The tuner is actually not functioning at all. Not muting when engaged, and it’s not seeing the guitar signal.

The first buffer provides the signal for the tuner, so it makes sense that the tuner doesn't work.

We can fix the tuner if you send it in (send email to support@rjmmusic.com to set that up). Or, you could have a qualified tech look at it. It's almost certainly the opamp chip that needs to be replaced. The opamp almost never fails, but the other components in the buffer are even less likely to fail.

Hi, I may have the same issue, i have a PBC/10, did a firmware update to 5.3.1 and reset everything to factory settings.
When I enable the tuner it does mute the audio, but it seems to be getting little to no signal from the guitar. I pick a string and I get a flicker on the tuner, then immediately goes back to the question mark, the guitar signal is fine when the tuner is not enabled.

I tried to get a picture of it.

Thanks

And this worked fine in 5.3.0? That's very odd. I've had all sorts of trouble with conflicts between fuzz mode and the tuner, and I spent a lot of time on it this time to test all the combinations I could think of. If it did this with a factory reset unit, that's even stranger. If you load up 5.3.0 and don't change anything else, does it start working?
