Power and Midi cables

Hi

Will the MasterMind / Effects Gizmo communicate when connected by a 5 pin midi cable that has only 3 pins wired? (no phantom power obviously). Also, can the master mind be powered by a voodoo lab pedal power unit? Not sure if it will supply enough mA.

A 3-wire MIDI cable will work fine. The extra pins are only used for phantom powering and for communication between multiple Masterminds.

You can power the Mastermind from a Pedal Power 2 if you use one of the Line 6 outputs.
