Sending a volume command to a hardware keyboard

Hi everyone, I’m trying to use my MMGT to send volume and program changes to a hardware synth. The program changes are received, but not volume commands. I believe the MMGT is working properly. Has anyone else done this before? Perhaps hardware keyboards do not receive volume commands through MIDI. (cc11 or cc7)

CCs 7 and 11 are pretty standard. Do you have another synth you can try it with, just to make sure the CCs are coming out? Or, a MIDI Monitor app would also work to verify.

Hi Ron, We've been trying this with a half dozen different keyboards. I'm sure this is a "3rd Party" issue as the midi monitor shows the MMGT sending the proper data. I'm guessing that if they were rack mont modules it would work. I was just hoping that someone here on the forum has done this before.
