Switching presets..........help!

Hi guys,

I'm very new to the Mastermind but very familiar with MIDI and switchers, I am however finding this tricky.

I had a plan in my head of how I wanted to setup my Mastermind but alas it's not quite as straightforward as I anticipated. Also the more I think about it the more complicated I make it so I'm not helping myself here.

On basic level here is what I want to achieve:

Switch 1 - Preset 1 Clean
Switch 2 - Preset 2 Drive (2nd Press Preset 12 Drive+)
Switch 3 - Preset 3 Crunch (2nd Press Preset 13 Crunch+)
Switch 4 - Preset 4 Solo (2nd press returns to the previous preset before solo)

Global second press set to alternate.

The secondary presets are 10 preset positions higher than the initial preset to avoid the issue with preset positioning. The issue is with secondary press of step 4, it will return to the presets in the same bank no problem but if it returns to one of the secondary presets 10 preset positions above, it puts me in the same bank as those presets. If I try and use presets in the same bank so for example if drive+ were to be preset 3 instead of preset 12 it will appear twice, once as the secondary switch and then on switch 3.

In short, how can I return to previous preset from the solo channel and force the RJM not not switch banks (or use presets in the same bank for the secondary switch and not have them appear twice), I want to stay in the same bank and return to the secondary switch press state with the secondary press LED state, I hope that makes sense.

Auto page select is on and all switches are set to Page 1 so i'm not sure why it's banking up.

I've tried many ways to achieve this including IAC cycling but this way seems to be the most straight forward assuming I can figure this out.

As an alternative I'd be happy to switch back to presets 2 or 3 if the Mastermind can remember the toggle state (if that's possible) for example I don't want to press Switch 4 for solo and then have to Press switch 3 twice to get to Crunch+.

Thanks in advance

By default, the PBC bank size is set to Auto. You could change it to 13 so that the PBC always remains in the same bank, Bank 1. Hitting the Solo button a second time will return to the previous preset as configured. If the previous preset was a secondary one, for example, 12/Drive+, it will be selected, and you can then hit any of the four buttons to select Presets 1 to 4 again.

Hi Mario,

That works, thank you so much.

The only problem now is that if you switch back to one of the secondary states the LED does not illuminate. It comes out of the lead channel and loads the right preset which is great but the secondary LED does not illuminate. Is there a way to make this work?

I've tried going in to the global presets and manually setting LED colours but that doesn't help.

Thanks

I've been looking into that since I noticed it as well. I'll get back to you as soon as I have an answer.

@Winthorpe I just want to let you know we've added this to the list of things to look at. It should be addressed in a future firmware update.
