Using mono send and stereo return, possible to use other send?

In a mono send and stereo return loop, could we get access to the remaining ring send, or is there a hardware limitation making this not possible?

I’d love to have ex. Loop 1 mono send and stereo return, and still be able to use loop 7 as send only, patchable along the signal chain.

I know it isn’t possible currently, but wondering if it’s feasible or not per a firmware update. I have a feeling it’s is not possible, as you guys would have probably already implemented it.

Cheers!

If the loop is TRS stereo capable, you can certainly use a TRS insert cable into the Send and gain access to the Ring connection, and send it wherever you'd like. Keep in mind it would always switch on and off whenever the loop is switched on and off. Also, the signal feeding the Input of the loop must also be stereo and with a left or right signal, otherwise when the loop is turned on, the Send's Ring will be muted.

Right, but to be able to have access to loops 1+7 as mono-stereo loop + mono send that are separate loops, not loop 1 as stereo, thanks. So they would each be able to moved along signal chain, independent of each other.

Which Effect Gizmo do you have? That will let me better visualize what you're trying to achieve.

My morning coffee hasn't kicked in, so I am having a bit of a hard time following along, please provide as much detail as possible.

I have the MEGX. I have a 6 mono and two stereo loops, and one loop as a mono send and stereo return, using all loops. I would love to be able to use the ring connection of that loop (that is the ring send) that is untouched by the mono/stereo loop going out the same jacks.

Currently, when making a loop mono send and stereo return, say loop 1, you don’t have access in the editor for loop 7 as a mono send; patchable along signal path for either clean, dry w effects, or post amp, depending on placement.

Hoping it’s possible to gain access to these sends to use as dry out, or possible sends into a parallel mixer.

(New mode Split Mono Send, instead of splitting loop to 2 mono loops, have a mono(tip send) to stereo(tip+ring return) and a mono send)

Thanks for the explanation, I understand it now. It's obviously not possible right now. You could make the Send of Loop 1 stereo, but it would be tied to the location of Loop 1 and couldn't be reordered, etc. You can consider submitting it into the suggestion box on the forum if you'd like.
