Volume Pedal with Amp and Effect Gizmo

Hi there, this may sound like a stupid question. I have everything being controlled by my Mastermind GT22 into effect and amp gizmo. To run my volume pedal, do I put it in between my guitar and the input to the effect gizmo?

You can put it in many locations. If you put it right up front as you suggest, it will affect gain as well as volume, similar to what happens when you turn your guitar's volume knob. If you put it in a later loop or insert point, after your overdrive pedals or in your amp's effects loop, then it will have less effect on gain and only will affect volume. Either is good, it just depends on the sound you're looking for.
