Chase Bliss TRS midi with just a cable

is a box/converter needed or can I just use a cable like the one from disaster area.

I only have 1 chase bliss pedal I want to control. I have this cable but I currently can't get PC messages to be received, wonder if it's a non compatible cable or another issue to track down. disaster area says pin 2 needs to be grounded on the PBC but I don't know how to determine that. Thanks.

Pin 2 of the MIDI output is grounded in all of our products. It's either the cable or the MIDI channel setting that's causing the issue. Setting MIDI channels on those pedals is a little tricky.

so I figured out the issue, I forgot I was using the midi input as output, once I swapped to the original output the cable worked fine. Thanks for the troubleshooting response.
