Hi, I've more-or-less finished building my new rig around my GT-16 and MEGX, but have one last niggling problem I can't seem to fix ...
Whenever I move the expression pedal (Mission RJM SP-1) I get 'MIDI zipping' sound - a buzz that happens only as I move the pedal. The volume of the buzz seems to be roughly in proportion with how fast I move the pedal (faster equals louder).
I've tried disconnecting each bit of kit in the rig (other than the amps, MEGX or GT-16, naturally), but can't zero in on a single culprit device that's causing the problem - it seems to be something systemic, it doesn't matter what particular things are connected / turned on / etc. The GT-16 is powered by the MEGX via a 7-pin MIDI (professionally made), and all MIDI connections run via two MIDI Solutions 'Quadra Thru' boxes, each of which get their power straight from the MEGX.
What should I be doing that I'm not ...?
Thanks.
