Hi,

I tried to use a gigrig supanova power supply. It's a 12 volt, 1000 mA adapter. This is exactly what is spect for the GT.
It worked fine for a few minutes, but then the screens on my gt16 started flashing. I unplugged immediately. Fortunately the GT still works fine. Is it possible the GT16 draws more than 1000 mA, or is the gigrig adapter flawed? Anybody try one of these?

Definitely sounds like the supply is getting overloaded. The power draw on the GT is variable. We tried to pick a number that represents the maximum in normal situations. But, things like phantom powering over long MIDI cables can increase the power draw even more.
