PBC6X Chasebliss Audio CXM1978 MIDI Issue

Hi all,

Experiencing a weird midi issue in controlling the CXM 1978 automatone format pedal. I have the pedal added as a midi device to channel 2. It is able to receive correct PC messages to reflect presets. HOWEVER, it is unable to receive CC messages correctly. When sending CC messages for Bypass (102), or Mix (18), or Save presets (27) - none of these changes reflect on the pedal. In order to Save presets, I must save them on the device. None of the CC messages are registering when sent from my presets in the PBC Editor.

Some troubleshooting I've done on my end:
1. I've tried swapping out MIDI cables - same issue
2. I've started a brand new RJM test page - same issue
3. Deleted a re-added the device - same issue
4. Tried turning off and on the Update State on Preset Change and Send one Preset Change - same issue

Starting to get a bit confused here, and was hoping anybody could jump in if they have any ideas what could be the issue.

My MIDI routing -> PBC MIDI splitter cable from BTPA > Disaster Area MIDIBOX 4 (2 Jackson pedals) > MIDI THRU > CXM 1978 MIDI IN > MIDI THRU > TIMELINE MIDI IN > MIDI OUT > PBC6X

I've also attached some screenshots to see my setups.

First thing is make certain that the pedal is on the channel you think it is. The fastest way to do this is to turn off Send PCs in the Devices tab for the 1978 pedal. The pedal should stop changing presets at that point. If it's still changing presets, then your channel settings are wrong (on the pedal, not on the GT).

If that checks out, the next thing to look for is - do you have an IA button or buttons that are programmed to send CCs to the 1978? If so, make sure that Send on Preset Change and Update on Preset Change are turned off, otherwise they will generate CC messages on every preset change, and those may conflict with the preset actions you're sending.
