Proper tuner setup with Axe FX 3

I have midi in connected to Axe FX 3 midi out and Midi out connected to Axe FX 3 midi in.

There seems to be a loop happening because it is messing up settings I can't turn on IA when switching presets. It blinks for a split second and then goes off. it seems to be overwritten by incoming midi.

When i unplug midi in it works fine but the tuner does not work.

Any advice would be appreciated.

If this only happens when Axe-Edit is running, then it's an Axe-Fx bug, fixed in 1.18 beta. If it's happening in some other case, please let me know.
