Using a GT-22 with a Kemper & Axe-Fx III separately

How do I setup the GT-22 to work with my Kemper and Axe-Fx III separately?

I've got the GT-22 setup and working exactly the way I want it with my Axe-Fx.

Though when I connect it to my Kemper and add the Kemper to the second device slot and choose set default buttons and pedals things start to get odd...

Is there a way to have two separate layouts depending on what device I have the GT-22 connected to?
Or is the best way to do this to have separate button pages that are specifically for the Kemper?

Because when I set the default buttons for the Kemper it's changing all of my Axe-Fx III layout.

Any help is much appreciated!
 
At the least, you'll want different button pages for each device. Also, make sure that both devices are on different MIDI channels.
 
I’m not using them at the same time.

The Kemper is my live setup and I’m still working on my tone with the Axe.

So I want to be able to plug the GT-22 up to the Kemper for live use and then hook it up to the Axe at home to tinker with.

How do I set something like that up?
 
Just make sure your second device slot is using a different MIDI channel, and when you do Set Default Buttons, save them to page 2 instead of page 1. That's the quickest way to do it. Then, you'll have one page dedicated to the Axe-Fx and one for the Kemper.
