Wiring pedals for stereo / parallel

I just had a customer run into an issue when wiring some pedals for stereo and parallel routing. If the pedal is always going to be parallel, and there are no pedals before it that are both series and stereo, then you could theoretically use a mono connection to that pedal's input. The dry signal is mono anyway.

However, the way the PBC is wired internally, using a TS plug in the loop send will actually short the right side dry signal to ground, muting it.

So, you have two options:

1). Just wire the input in stereo and be done with it. Probably the best way to handle it, especially if you ever change your mind and start using series routing.

2). If you're sure the pedal will always be in parallel, or if your pedal only has a mono input and will be run in parallel, you need to use a cable that has a TRS plug that has the ring disconnected on the side that goes to the PBC send jack. This prevents the right side signal from getting lost.
