Is there a tempo set in each song? If Ignore Preset Tempos is turned on, and the current song's tempo isn't set to a specific value, then it won't send anything.

USB isolators are the best solution for this. They sell a few on Amazon. The one that I currently have is no longer made, but any USB 2.0 isolator should do the job.

If you want one amp sim on each side of the stereo signal, it'll work, but you need to keep the loop in stereo. Split Mono would put the try amp sims in series.
The switch actuator has a cap on the rear that screws on and secures the spring inside. The most common issue is that the cap starts to loosen. and that can cause issues with the spring.

If you're going to be running the Iridium 100% of the time, and you want the Iridium last in the signal chain, it would make sense to just put it after the MEGX. No need to use up a loop.
