Breakout box question

I just ordered a T8 from midi solutions. I will run the xlr from GT to breakout box. From breakout box a midi cable to T8. Will the midi out of breakout box power the T8?

No, it won't unfortunately. If you switch to using all 7-pin MIDI instead of XLR, it will work. MIDI Solutions stuff is the only stuff on the planet that needs that seventh wire (pin 2) and that's the one wire we left out of the 6-pin XLR.

Thanks. Looks like midi solutions sell a power supply box. That should solve the problem.
