I love my Mastermind LT. But the way I currently have it set up for setlists/songs is that I have to have presets duplicated several times so that they will show up on the MM LT when a song part is engaged. To better explain this, if I want SONG A to have Buttons 1-4 assigned one way and SONG B assigned another way as:
SONG A
BUTTON 1. Intro (Distortion)
BUTTON 2. Verse (Clean, Reverb, Delay)
BUTTON 3. Chorus (Distortion, Reverb, Delay)
BUTTON 4. Solo (Distortion, Reverb, Delay, Boost)
or
SONG B
BUTTON 1. Intro (Clean, Flanger)
BUTTON 2. Verse (Clean, Delay)
BUTTON 3. Chorus (Distortion, Reverb)
BUTTON 4. Solo (Distortion, Flanger, Boost)
I would have to have 4 versions of each to chose from and assign in the song section of the MM LT software to setup songs (the above examples of SONG A and SONG B yield 8 original presets and 56 duplicates making a grand total of 64 presets). These presets are reusable of course, but every time I add a pedal to my rig I then have to add the initial combinations of the amp channel+ new pedal combinations... then duplicate them for use in the song/setlist mode.
These duplicates look something like this in my MM LT:
P1 Intro (Distortion)
P2 Verse (Distortion)
P3 Chorus (Distortion)
P4 Solo (Distortion)
P5 Intro (Clean, Reverb, Delay)
P6 Verse (Clean, Reverb, Delay)
P7 Chorus (Clean, Reverb, Delay)
P8 Solo (Clean, Reverb, Delay)
...and so on to pick from...
I do this so that "INTRO" and "VERSE", etc... will show on the MM LT screen and I can easily see what part of the song I am on. Sort of an idiot-proofing for fast paced live play. I essentially have to have 4 versions of every preset I make (amp channel + pedal(s) in the signal chain) so that I can mix and match and create new songs on the fly and just chose the Preset sound I want with the Song part name I want and plop it in the new song. I literally (and I don't mean it figuratively the way all the kids are using it these days but I mean... LiTERALLY) have over 5OO presets. I have some 3O or so for my "preset page" when I just want to bank through presets, say I'm in a jam session and think "hmm what might this sound sound like for this part of the song..." then those 3Osome presets are duplicated 4 times and are named as I have described above so I can easily and quickly pick and mix and match when making new songs for setlists.
But I was wondering...
WHAT iF: you could rename the preset at the song level in the song tab? So you can call all your presets whatever you want in the preset list (and for my purposes I would have to make far less presets) then on the song tab you can rename the preset and it will appear as "that name" when in setlist mode and that part of the song is pressed.
Is this doable? If so, is this something we could get for the Mastermind LT?
