Effects Gizmo non stereo version question

If I have stereo effects via a Left and Right output on a H9, in order for the signal to come out stereo, will I simply need to use separate loops in order to get a stereo signal? (H9 Left output to Loop 8/ H9 right output to Loop 9)?

Also will I be able to use the unused loops as separate outs to different amps? I'm wanting to run a wet/dry/wet rig

FYI, loops 9-12 are always stereo on all Effect Gizmos. Only loops 1-8 are mono on a standard Effect Gizmo. Because loops 1-8 are grouped together, they won't work well in stereo, unless you use loops 1-4 for the left side and loops 5-8 for the right.

Yes, you can use the sends of unused loops as switchable outputs.

Great! I imagine that will be able to rearrange the order of the loops like within the mini effects gizmo X. The idea of being that I could put the outputs after the stereo affects.

Sorry, the Effect Gizmo doesn't have the ability to reorder loops, but you could just use loop 8 in stereo, then split its output using an insert cable to loops 11 and 12 (for example) where one is left and one is right.

Where do I plug in my outs for a Wet/Dry & 2 DI's from Iridium (4 total)?

I've got 5 mono pedals (Loops 1-5) & H9 stereo (Loop 8 via 2 Y cables from H9). Do I need to jump channels if I am not using channels?

Do you have a full stereo Effect Gizmo? If not, then only loops 9-12 are stereo.

To make sure I understand, you need a mono dry signal, a stereo wet signal, and a stereo signal from the Iridium? Are you planning to have the Iridium signal be dry or dry + wet?

i misspoke, I want a stereo rig, not necessarily wet /dry. Would like the iridium to be stereo as well. I have the standard rack not the full stereo.

Ok, I would put the H9 in loop 9, then make the following connections:

CS Out to In 9
Send & Return 9 to H9 using insert cables
Out 9 to In 10 using a TRS cable
Send 10 to Iridium input using a TRS cable
Iridium output is your DI stereo output
Out 10 is your main stereo output, this can be split to left and right using an insert cable.

Check the Iridium manual - i think there's a jumper inside or a setting you have to change to make the input jack stereo.

The iridium works fine when I plug directly into it. It’s not getting any signal from the gizmo. I’m also only getting one mono signal into the TRS Y cable coming out of 10 Out

Apologies, I forgot to mention that the cable from CS Out should be a TS to TRS cable with tip and ring tied together.

That helped get signal to both amps via TRS to dual TS splitter cable however I still don’t have a signal to Iridium via TRS to TRS FROM SEND 10. I have confirmed that the cable is good, I’ve also tried all of the jacks To the left but still no signal. Iridium works when connected directly into the Guitar.

Is the cable from Out 9 to In 10 TRS? It needs to be so it can pass stereo signal.

Are you sure that the stereo setting on the Iridium is correct? If it works fine with a mono guitar plugged in, it's probably not set to accept a stereo input.

Yes OUT 9 ->TRS-> IN 10 is stereo. When I plug the Iridium into OUT 10 via TRS I get signal. However no signal from SEND 10.

Try moving all the connections from loop 10 to loop 11 and see if it works any better using that loop.

Same result, not getting any signal from the sends or the other outs. I'm only getting a signal from one out. I reset it to factory settings when I got it a couple days ago buy holding down loops 1 & 4 while powering it up. All the lights flashed blue once and then went out which leads me to believe that it's back to factory settings.

Are you turning on loop 10 or 11 when you test the send? The send is only active when its loop is on.

FYI, you can force a loop to be on at all times by doing the following:

1). Hold the loop 4 button on the Gizmo as you power it up. Keep holding until the lights flash.
2). Release loop 4 and turn on loop 10 (or whatever loop you want to stay on)
3). Press Write to store the change

This is actually using the grouped button feature in an unusual way. Because of this, you can only use this feature to keep one loop active in loops 1-8 and one loop active on in loops 9-12. If you do more than that, you're going to get grouped buttons, where turning one button on in a group turns off the others in the group.
