Finally got my GT22 - my initial findings

Editor is a bit flakey.
When using the Right Mouse Button, it freezes for a moment
Ctrl C & Ctrl V makes it crash

IA link is AWESOME!!! – if it works because sometimes it doesn’t update correctly
I made a test setup and tried communicating with the Axe but nothing happened.

Used the old computer trick of turning it off and on again and it worked.

Wishes:

• Set number of max pages per preset
• Ability to set “”Instant Bank Switching” per preset or Global
• Action button for switching the function of a pedal – not limited to preset
• Copy from preset:
  • All
  • Only Buttons
• Editor: Cancel button when editing buttons
• Editor: In the drop down lists, the names should be visible, not the number. This is for:
  • Button groups
  • Sysex
  • Macros
• Global should show buttons on all pages, unless that button is overwritten in the local page

The whole song thing doesn’t work for me.
Most of the time, a song is based on one preset on the Axe-Fx.
The first button selects the preset on the Axe-Fx (or controlled units).
The other buttons should only send a series of Midi commands – unless there is a need to switch to (an)other preset(s) on the controlled device(s).
So there should be an option to save buttons to a list where you can pick from.

In fact, a song could just as easily be based on a preset of the GT.
So you could customize the buttons for the song in the local page.
The only thing that’s needed then is to have more presets than songs.

This is because you have:

• At least one preset per song
• A preset on the GT for each preset on the controlled device or preset combinations on the controlled devices

So for now, I won’t be using the songs and setlists.
I’ll just make a preset per song and reorder the presets for a performance.
