the effects gizmo will cope with that, the only thing you will have to do is use one of the loop switches to mute the signal when using the tuner as the tuner out is fed directly from the buffered input.
easily done though
use one of the switches at the start of your signal chain ie just after the input, dont connect anything to it. so when you want to mute switch that loop on

Yeah, if you use the Tuner Out, it's a permanent buffered split, so it doesn't mute the signal. You could always use a loop for a tuner send, or simply plug a shorted jack into a loop return, which would mute the signal when you turned on that loop. I use my loops 1-4 as an input selector in similar fashion.

I am switching between 2 different pre-amps A/B switching is straightforward on loops 9-12 as they have their own in, out send and return connections.
yes it can all be controlled via the buttons on the front but the unit really comes into its own when used with a midi foot controller
