Mastermind Editor Requirements

I just installed the Mastermind editor on my Macbook pro from 2009 and when I try to open it, a message appears that says, "make sure MastermindEditor works with this version of OS X," and I'm not able to use the program. I'm using OS X 10.8.5 so I should be fine right? Anyone have any idea whats going on?

The editor is 64-bit only, maybe your Macbook Pro isn't? I can't remember when they made the transition. 10.8.5 should be ok, although admittedly it's been quote a while since I tested with that version.

So I downloaded OS X 10.11.6 (El Capitan) and it worked! I read that Apple started selling computers that run apps at 64-bit after 2006. So I just needed the updated operating system.
