Midi interference

Evening friends. My rig consists of an AxeFx3 which is contolled by a MM-GT10. I have also coupled two Mission expression pedals with the GT10. It's a great setup.

The issue I am having is that when I am standing close to the GT10, I can hear some interference. It's consistent on/off noise that occurs in time with the "tempo" and "midi in" indicators on the front of the AxeFx3. Very annoying, and clearly I need to stand next to the GT10 if I am going to make any changes.

I have attached a gif/video. No sound in this video to keep file size low, but you can see the cable close to the GT10 triggering an interference signal on the AxeFx3 front panel. Behaves the same way when the guitar is plugged in.

Any body else have this problem? Any suggestions?

Many thanks.

Typically, that's due to bad shielding somewhere. I would look at the MIDI cable(s) you're using and try replacing them with new ones. Make sure that the MIDI cables are wired correctly. If there are any interface boxes or interface panels, make sure they're shielded properly.

I have this too (GT22). Def. triggered by communications between Axe-Fx and GT. It stops when disabling realtime sysex (Fractal) and polling (GT).

I have tried a number of cables (MIDI as well as 6-pin XLR) and various power supplies, but strangely enough, nothing solved this so far.

I've grown accustomed to it. :)
